WEBINAR SUMMARY

Communist crimes are ignored or belittled in deference to the Jews’ Holocaust. Black Ribbon Day (August 23), in contrast to Holocaust Remembrance Day, is almost unknown. Museums to the victims of Communism, in contrast to Holocaust museums, are practically invisible.

Activism alone will not dethrone Holocaust supremacy. The Armenians’ raising of victim awareness have made only a minor dent in Holocaust dominance. Political action is required.

IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance), a powerful organization, influences Holocaust-related policies in many nations, including Poland. IHRA promotes the presumed special-ness of the Holocaust and opposes any comparing of Communist crimes with the Jews’ Holocaust.

Communist crimes are depreciated in many ways, as by the HISTORIKERSTREIT (“Historians’ Dispute”) in Germany. It forcefully enshrined the secondary status of Communist crimes relative to the Holocaust. Also, Holocaust supremacists make bogus arguments, such as the one about Communism never exterminating defined groups of people (false), as if this “fact” made Communist crimes any less horrible than the Holocaust. It gets worse. Poland is mocked for allegedly thinking herself “The Jesus Christ of Nations”– just for verbalizing the crimes done to her.
