Forgotten Victims Denied Reparations Now to Be Re-Traumatized
Paying for the Past, by Christian Pross. 1998. John Hopkins University Press
The Forgotten Victims Denied Reparations Get Re-Traumatized: The German Retraumatizing of Polish Victims
This is an English-language translation of a German book. It primarily dwells on reparations to individuals, including the medical grounds invoked to deny compensation to some claimants. It also contains revealing information, which I focus on.
VICTIMS DENIED REPARATIONS: ‘WHY DIG UP THE PAST?”
Author Christian Pross provides an inadvertent answer to those who variously say “WWII was so long ago”, “Why bother with reparations for Poland?”, “So what that Jews got reparations and Poles didn’t”, and “It does not matter that German killers of Jews were punished while German killers of Poles were not.” He cogently writes, “Failure to punish the wrongdoers of criminal regimes is a pathogenic retraumatizing factor for the surviving victims. It is known that the acquittal of concentration camp guards by the German courts sometimes led to violent psychological reactions in concentration camp survivors.” (p. viii).
The trauma is not only faced by the victims denied reparations: A collective trauma is also experienced by the victim peoples as a whole. The trauma to Poles is magnified by gross additional injustices: the fact that Germans were punished for killing Jews, and Germans have paid restitution to Jews, while Germans have seldom been punished for killing Poles, and Germans have paid very little restitution to Poland.
Now, there are few Nazis living to be belatedly punished for killing Poles, but Germany must still finally pay the $1.3 trillion in reparations that Germany owes Poland. The passage of time does not make the crime any less real. For extensive details on how Germany has defrauded Poland, see:

YES, VIRGINIA. THE LUXEMBOURG AGREEMENT ALREADY COMPENSATED THE JEWS FOR HEIRLESS JEWISH PROPERTY
In discussing this 1952 Agreement, Pross comments: “Israel demanded payment of 4.2 billion DM (Deutschmarks) as reconstruction assistance from the Federal Republic, the Claims Conference demanded 500 million DM for stolen Jewish property for which no surviving heirs could be found in the former occupied countries and a binding promise that a unified federal restitution law along the lines of the law in the U. S. zone, going beyond the state laws, would be adopted in the near future.” (p. 23. Emphasis added).
Note that this applied to heirless property in the German-occupied nations, such as that in German-occupied Poland. And yet the Holocaust Industry is still going after Poland for heirless Jewish property. Something is not kosher here. It looks as though Jews are trying to get paid twice. For further details, see:
