This book is densely packed with information about Hitler and Nazism. Having read many books on this subject, I focus on some seldom-discussed matters.

“EVIL PEDOPHILE PRIESTS”? THE ANTICHRISTIAN CHARACTER OF NAZISM

Today’s customary overemphasis on the Holocaust (and the effort to place Christianity on the same side as the Nazis against the Jews) have both tended to obscure the anti-Christian aspects of Nazism. Let us set the record straight.

The authors are unambiguous about the attitude of Nazism towards Christianity. They write, “From 1935 to 1939, Nazi policy toward the churches was conducted along three separate avenues simultaneously: an attempt to gain administrative control so that the Protestant and Catholic churches could be brought under the authority of the state; the waging of an ideological struggle to replace Christianity with a new cult in the hearts and minds of all Germans; and a campaign of terrorism and intimidation designed to gradually reduce the Christian churches to extinction.” (p. 116).

Today’s leftists use exactly the same 3-pronged strategy to try to discredit and destroy the Catholic Church! Let us take a closer look at these, and how they live on in leftist attacks against the Church.

Spielvogel and Redles write, “The more ideologically extreme Nazis, such as Rosenberg, Bormann, and Himmler, believed they could achieve their ideological goals through quick destruction of Christianity by eliminating the role of the clergy. This tactic led in part to the ‘immorality’ trials of Catholic priests and nuns in 1936 and 1937.” (p. 116. Emphasis added). Sounds chillingly familiar.

They add, “Nazi persecution of the churches in the second half of the 1930s involved a variety of tactics. Persecutions and arrests of individual clergymen were especially noticeable. Attacks on Catholic clergy focused on moral trials. Hundreds of priests, nuns, and monks were accused and convicted of illicit and perverse sexual practices. Public accounts were grossly exaggerated to make almost all the Catholic clergy appear to be sexual criminals.” (p. 117. Emphasis added). Exactly as it is today!

Notice that there is no media curiosity about, and certainly no hullabaloo about, all the pedophiles found among secularists, among coaches, and among schoolteachers. The agenda is clear: It is not about some kind of sudden concern for the welfare of children, going decades back: It is all about the discrediting and bankrupting of the Catholic Church. When will we wake up?

Let us take a closer look at child welfare and children’s rights. If the self-appointed unmaskers of “evil pedophile priests” were sincere, they would direct their energies towards banning the killing of unborn babies (a. k. a. abortion).
