The United Nations Holocaust: UN Report Promotes Holocaust Supremacy and German Guilt Diffusion
The very title of this United Nations Holocaust-education report is subtle and Orwellian. Only the Holocaust is identified by name, and all the multiple non-Jewish genocides are made generic and just lumped together as “genocide”.
HOLOCAUST SUPREMACY BY OVER-SIGNIFICATION
The authors write, “While it began in Germany, the Holocaust became an international event with global implications.” (p. 41)
This is never said of any other genocide. No one, for example, ever says that the Armenian genocide “became an international event” or that it has “global implications.”
But wait, it gets even better. The UNESCO report states, “The Holocaust was a watershed event in relatively recent history whose legacies still shape our world and whose lessons are relevant to the challenges we face today.” (p. 7. Emphasis added). “Watershed event”–wow! This superlative, too, is never said of any other genocide. And whoever decreed that the Holocaust, and only the Holocaust, is especially “relevant” to the challenges of today?
HOLOCAUST SUPREMACY VIA THE MYSTIFICATION OF THE HOLOCAUST
The UNESCO report asks, “How did a modern state, mobilizing all relevant segments of the society and institutions of the state apparatus, lead millions of people across Europe to engage in, support or acquiesce to the targeted destruction and mass murder of such magnitude? How could civil servants, doctors, lawyers, educators, engineers, media professionals and other ordinary citizens, across borders, support policies that led to the systematic murder of their colleagues and neighbours? Education about the Holocaust examines not only the events of the Holocaust but also these questions.” (p. 22. Emphasis added).
The very same questions could be asked about any other genocide! Note also the subtle diffusion of guilt away from the Germans and Austrians (“millions of people across Europe”. Just who are these “millions” of non-German and non-Austrian Europeans that did the Holocaust?)
Finally, if anything, this question can be turned around. If killing Jews was singularly so important to the Third Reich, why was the Holocaust so amateurish? See:

HOLOCAUST SUPREMACY BY MASSIVE OVER-ATTENTION
The United Nations report states the obvious, “In any case, to date, the Holocaust has been the most researched, documented and widely taught case of genocide.” (p. 31).
No kidding! Now tell me that there is no such thing as Holocaust supremacism.
SUBTLE DILUTION OF GERMAN-AUSTRIAN GUILT
The report continues, “For instance, many countries involved in the Second World War face the particular issue of collaboration with the German authorities. The Nazi genocide of the Jews could not have succeeded so thoroughly without the consent and complicity of individuals, social groups and institutions across German-dominated Europe.” (p. 48. Emphasis added).
Collaboration with the Nazis (against Jews, that is) is now given the same attention as the Nazi German Jew-murdering acts themselves! I have repeatedly seen this meme in Holocaust literature. This looks like an intentional attempt to dilute the guilt of the Germans and Austrians.
Most of all, it is unproven. No one has shown that the Nazi German-made Holocaust could not have succeeded (or not “succeeded so thoroughly”) without the existence of non-German and non-Austrian collaborators. It has become “truth” by repetition.
Moreover, the issue, as framed, is Judeocentric. Collaboration is only a big deal when it involves Jews as victims and non-Jews as collaborators. No one gets exorcized about Jews betrayed by other Jews. And no one gets all excited about those Poles who lost their lives because of Polish collaborators.
Finally, the issue of collaboration is an act of selective indignation. For instance, could the Holodomor have succeeded (or “succeeded so thoroughly”) without Jewish complicity? No one asks such questions.
