Historian Max Dimont mostly focuses on the Jewish religion. I instead focus on other matters raised by him.

IMPENDING MASS GASSING OF POLES

Author Max Dimont realizes that the Nazi German genocidal ambitions went far beyond just the Jews. He writes, “The chilling reality is that when the Russians overran the concentration camps in Poland they found enough Zyklon B crystals to kill 20 million people. Yet there were no more than 3 million Jews left in Europe. The ratio of contemplated mass killing was no longer 1.4 Christians for every Jew, but 5.3 Christians for every Jew. Nazi future plans called for the killing of 10 million non-Germanic people every year.” (pp. 426-427).

HOLOCAUST SUPREMACY TACITLY REPUDIATED

Max Dimont comments, “The world will perhaps disbelieve this as it once disbelieved the existence of gas chambers and death camps. The imagination of the rest of the Western world could not encompass such anti-human concepts, because the Western mind was still imbued with Jewish and Christian humanism and concerned with spiritual values, whereas in Germany these had been expunged by Nazism. If the Christian reader dismisses what happened in Germany as something which affected a few million Jews only, he has not merely shown his contempt for the 7 million Christians murdered by the Nazis but has betrayed his Christian heritage as well. And, if the Jewish reader forgets the 7 million Christians murdered by the Nazis, then he has not merely let 5 million Jews die in vain but has betrayed his Jewish heritage of compassion and justice.” (p. 427). Needless to say, Dimont’s statements are a rarity, and in complete variance with the standard Holocaust supremacy that rules much of modern Western thinking.

THE POLISH DEATH CAMP LIE: A VARIANT

Accusations of Poland being co-responsible for the Holocaust, alongside the faceless de-Germanized Nazis, wear many guises.  There is the insinuation that the death camps were Polish, or, failing that, that Poles gave permission to the Nazi Germans to build the death camps. Or that Germans built the death camps because the Poles were anti-Semitic. Or that Germans built the death camps because they expected to conveniently recruit many Polish collaborators (a variant of the all-too-common “Poles were complicit in the Holocaust” insinuation). Or, failing that, that Poles were delighted that Hitler did the dirty work for them. The latter was popularized by the “Goodbye Jews!” lie in Schindler’s List, where, even better, Poles throw globs of mud at the doomed Jews.

The author has a different spin on the Polish death camp lie. He makes the following amazing statements, “Quite different was the story in Eastern Europe. Poland’s action was the most shameful. Without a protest she handed over 2,800,000 of her 3,300,000 Jews to the Germans.” (p. 424). Huh? On what planet is Dimont walking on? By what twist of the Jewish Polonophobic imagination were the Poles, under a total and brutal German occupation, supposed to be in a position to protest, let alone to actually “hand over” 2.8 million Jews to the Nazis?
